Here’s everything you need to know:
What are Russian lashes?
Multi-lash Russian Layering application technique is a new and extremely popular lash treatment. The technique involves adhering synthetic, ultra-fine lashes onto a single natural lash to create a voluminous, yet lightweight look.
Who are they suitable for?
Everyone, but particularly for people with finer lashes, for those wanting a fuller look, or for those wanting more volume than standard lash extensions.
How are Russian Lashes different from classic lash extensions?
When one single lash extension is applied to a single natural lash, this technique is referred to as classic lashes. With Russian lashes, our lash technicians will attach more than one lash extension fibre to the natural lash by fanning them to make them appear like more lashes are growing from one stem.
Depending on the effect you want, we can use 2 to 10 extensions per fan. The number of lashes used per fan is also dependent on the thickness of the extension.
How long does it take to apply Russian lashes?
Due to the intricate nature of these extensions, we allow up to 2.5 hours to apply.
How long do Russian lashes last?
Like classic lash extensions, we advise infills every 2-3 weeks.
Will Russian lashes damage my own lashes?
The biggest myth is that lash extensions ruin your own lashes. They do not. Be sure not to rub your eyes or tug on the extensions because this can cause lash loss and even damage to your natural lashes.
Will I need a patch test?
Yes, if you have not had your lashes done at Bennetts before, or haven’t had them done into last 3 months, then we do need to do a patch test. This is so we can check you are not allergic to the glue we use to apply the lashes.
